Sponsoring an athlete can be great for your company. Athletes are disciplined, focused, driven and ethical, sponsoring them associates them and their values with your brand. Sponsorship doesn't have to be financial, it might be your product - for example if you're a nutrition supplements supplier or even local butcher! You might sponsor them through something as simple as flexible working hours, this doesn't have to be a continuous occurrence, any support is massively appreciated.
In return for sponsorship they'll wear your logo on their judo kits when competing, training and maybe even coaching. They'll mention you in any press releases, web articles, social media etc. There is lots more they can do for the right package too, presentations to staff, present at company functions, support families with your staff network etc.
